Not everything should smell like Spring.
As a person that has never worn a single floral print – at least during teen and adolescent years – i’ve found that many prints can be equally feminine and summery.
Sometimes during Spring, I even felt intimidated by all the florals everywhere making me wonder, was I the only one not into this motif? The wave of minimalism over the last few years, proved I was not. Though I have to admit, ditsy 90s prints got me excited for a moment, but didn’t end up in my wardrobe. Instead, when I was feeling the need to move away from monochrome, I resorted in more manly patterns like pinstripes or retro like polka dots. Sometimes I even loved me some leopard.
See below, all the motifs you can wear if you are not a florals person.
Pinstripes, navy stripes, rainbow stripes, you name it. This classic pattern every season gets reinvented and never bores us. Magic.
The combination of a vintage inspired piece with something modern, creates the most interesting outfits. No wonder, this dress from Topshop is one of this season’s best-selling dresses that gets sold out constantly. This also looks perfect on swimwear.
Another retro girly pattern is gingham, which was recently resurrected in every piece imaginable. It looks great in every color, pastels and classic b&w.
Blame it on Ganni. The Scandinavian brand that made leopard cool again.
